Mandarin Corner - 3rd Dec

Our first Mandarin corner was a great success. We all met in the Paddy Field Irish Pub in Guangzhou and had a fun, entertaining and instructive afternoon with many games and activities around Mandarin learning. We hope we will see all of you again at our next mandarin corner activity.

As one of the organizers as well as participants, I have to say that the staff in Guangzhou office really did a great job in organizing the event, and that the students' performance also impressed people present a lot. We had fun and we knew one another better.

What is so different about your event?

Canzilla - sorry for the late reply. Our Mandarin Corner was planned and aimed around our current students, making fun activities for them to practice their Chinese. The trainers organised a few different games, starting with Charades which was a success. The second activity was a quiz which was well organised, but not suited to this event so something to rework for next time round. And the last activity included pinyin words on ping pong balls, chopsticks and a lot of running about!!

The GZ centre is planning on holding one Mandarin Corner every 2 months and the next is tentatively planned for Sun 4th February 2007 so we hope to see you there.
